Methodology & sources
Source: DeFlock.me, a community project that maps automated license-plate readers reported by volunteers. The honest note: this is a floor, not a ceiling. Mapped locations reflect only readers people have found and submitted; unmapped and newly installed cameras are not counted, so the real total is certainly higher than any number shown here.
